Who are they working for?

Where does the money go?

And why, when this happens in plain sight, does it continue?

These are the questions A Light in the Sky is beginning with.

Please do not put yourself or a child in danger to gather information.

This begins in Mumbai.

We are gathering observations, speaking with people in India and documenting what we learn.

The goal is to follow the truth wherever it leads and eventually turn this work into deeper reporting, film and a documentary series.

Who protects a child when everyone has learned to walk past them?

I cannot do this alone.

There is filming, editing, research and listening still to do. If you have time or skills to offer, I would love to hear from you.

Volunteer video editor: Help shape footage into clear, thoughtful videos and longer reports.
Photos and footage: Share material you created that may help the investigation. Include the city, state and date.
Research and translation: Help check information, translate interviews or connect us with people already working on the ground.

Roles are unpaid for now. As funding grows, the aim is to pay contributors, but paid work cannot be promised.

This has to lead somewhere.

We are not doing this just to tell a sad story.

The goal is change.

And if we uncover something the public needs to know, we will bring it into the light.

A Light in the Sky is an independent project founded by Madysan Bell. It is not currently a registered nonprofit. Contributions are not tax-deductible. Funds may support investigation, documentation and project expenses. Funds designated for direct assistance will be tracked separately and distributed after appropriate recipients are verified.
